Project Summary

Fluid Services has been engaged by Fairfield City Council for the construction of the reticulation watermain to facilitate the construction of the new Cabramatta carpark. These works were completed at night due to the high level of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Project Details

Completion of the new reticulation water main and disuse of the existing 250mm water main is key to the completion of the new multilevel carpark.

Due to the high level of traffic and pedestrian activity these works were completed at night, utilising light towers, traffic control and noise delineators through construction. A major part of this project was liaising with the surrounding residents to ensure that throughout the works their voices and concerns were addressed, this had a great impact on how successful this project was. As the water main extension was constructed through a range of ground conditions, specific safety, community, and environmental issues were addressed from sound delineation barriers, dust management & specific types of excavations.
